NATIONAL PROGRAM

TOBONGISA HORIZON 2030

TOBONGISA

ToBongisa is a project that aims to create a better future for the people of Congo by addressing some of the most pressing issues facing the country today. It will focus on raising public awareness of the importance of ecosystems in our country. The project has four main action plans:
Environment.
Waste Recycling.
Social Housing.
Renewable Energy.
The Project will adopt an appropriate communication strategy with all stakeholders. They will be informed of the Project’s objectives and made aware of their role in achieving these objectives so that they can contribute, particularly by providing the data and information needed to develop the second national communication.

PROJECT NATIONAL TO BONGISA ENVIRONMENT

The environment is important because it provides us with the natural resources we need to survive.

SDG 13, which addresses the fight against climate change, is a priority for the Congolese government. This SDG 13 is aligned with Goal 7 of the African Union’s Agenda 2063. As such, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has ratified several international conventions and implemented a series of measures (programs, laws, projects) aimed at safeguarding flora and fauna and protecting populations from disaster risks.

The DRC has seventeen protected areas covering an area of 4,350,418 hectares. Its forest cover is 65% and its annual deforestation rate is 0.05%. The DRC has mangroves located in its coastal zone. These mangroves constitute another high-carbon ecosystem.

Por Green Congo is a community science project, like Defenders’ eBird, iNaturalist, or iBeaver, that converts your home to use renewable energy and plants native species to transform your garden into a habitat for your neighbors in nature, particularly pollinators like bees and butterflies.

PROJECT NATIONAL TOBONGISA RECYCLE

Recycling is an important way to reduce waste and preserve natural resources. It can also help reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. Recycling involves collecting recyclable waste from sorted recycling and transforming it into raw materials that can be used again. Recyclable materials include certain metals, plastics and cardboard, glass, rubble, etc.

Recycling helps reduce the environmental impacts created by the production of economic goods and therefore preserves the planet and its ecosystems. Waste management must respect the hierarchy of waste treatment methods: prioritizing reuse, then recycling, and avoiding disposal saves resources, as part of the transition to a circular economy. It aims to strengthen a symbiotic relationship between communities and the ecosystem for sustainability by demystifying the general concept of waste. To benefit from the contribution of young people and women to a clean and healthy environment, to improve livelihoods through the collection and recycling of plastic waste. The initiative is therefore anchored in its intention to reduce environmental pollution from PET plastic, while increasing the number of jobs in the PET plastic recycling sector, as well as to change communities’ attitudes and behaviors towards PET plastic waste.

NATIONAL TOBONGISA SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECT

Social housing is important because it provides affordable housing to people who cannot afford to buy their own home. Social housing also helps reduce homelessness and improve the living conditions of low-income families.

Green Congo can help build homes for people in need in the Democratic Republic of Congo by providing building materials and assisting with home construction. Green Congo can also help raise awareness among communities about the importance of social housing and encourage local governments to invest in social housing.

By providing households with access to decent housing, the project contributes to reducing substandard housing. By developing innovative housing financial products, the project contributes to improving financial inclusion in the DRC. Social housing was born from a simple idea: to provide low-income people with affordable housing.

The construction of social housing helps ease the situation in the housing market and can thus lead to a decrease in the overall level of rents.

TOBONGISA NATIONAL RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT

Renewable energy is important because it helps reduce our dependence on fossil fuels, which are non-renewable and contribute to climate change. Renewable energy also helps reduce air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.

Green Congo is an NGO that seeks to promote the use of renewable energy in the Democratic Republic of Congo. They work to raise awareness about the importance of renewable energy and promote the use of solar panels and wind turbines to generate electricity. They also work with local communities to help them understand the benefits of renewable energy.

To achieve this goal, we must take several steps. First, to promote the use of renewable energy in the Democratic Republic of Congo, you can promote the use of solar panels or wind turbines to generate electricity. You can also work with local communities to raise awareness of the importance of renewable energy.
